Energy Abundance for Washington
Practical Solutions Over Ideology
Fellow Washingtonians,
Energy is the lifeblood of our economy. We cannot power Seattle’s tech boom, data centers, EVs, growing families, and hospitals with unreliable sources and costly mandates.
Our hydro advantage is strong, but demand is surging while reliable plants retire. The Climate Commitment Act raises costs for working families with almost zero global impact. Washington is only 0.2% of world emissions.
Water vapor is Earth’s primary greenhouse gas by far, not CO₂. Treating carbon policy like an apocalyptic religion has forced us into a corner of artificial scarcity.
My Plan for Energy Abundance
Advance SMR Nuclear Power
Support Small Modular Reactors, including Amazon and Energy Northwest projects, for clean, reliable 24/7 power.
Natural Gas as Bridge Fuel
Use natural gas to keep costs down and maintain reliability while we build new nuclear capacity — and as flexible peaker plants that ramp up when wind, solar, or hydro fall short.
Protect Hydroelectric Power
Expand and modernize our hydroelectric advantage — Washington’s greatest energy asset.
Reform the Climate Commitment Act
End wasteful fund diversions and focus on practical, self-reliant energy solutions. Repeal the costly carbon tax experiments.
We don’t have to choose between environment and economy.
We choose both through honest observation, innovation, and practical policy.
Together, we can make Washington golden.
